Brush twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste, tilting the bristles toward your gumline and sweeping every surface for a full two minutes. Electric brushes are wonderful, but a manual brush works too when you use gentle circular motions.

Floss once daily to disrupt plaque between the teeth and under the gums.

  • Wrap 12-16 inches of floss around your middle fingers and guide it with your thumbs and index fingers.
  • Slide it between the teeth with a light sawing motion, then hug the floss in a "C" shape under the gumline.
  • Floss holders or water flossers are handy if traditional floss is tricky to manage.

Finish with a rinse of water or mouthwash if you enjoy an extra fresh feel.

Plan on visiting us at least twice a year so we can polish away buildup, check for cavities, and monitor your gums and bite. If you are managing periodontal disease, wear dental appliances, or tend to accumulate tartar quickly, we may recommend more frequent visits.

During an exam we review your health history, update digital X-rays when needed, screen for oral cancer, evaluate your gums, and take a close look at existing fillings or crowns. Thorough cleanings remove sticky plaque and hardened tartar to keep your smile healthy between visits.

Occasional morning breath is normal, but lasting odor can point to tongue bacteria, dry mouth, or gum disease. Brush and floss thoroughly, clean the back of your tongue, drink plenty of water, and limit tobacco and sugary snacks.

Common contributors include:

  • Dry mouth from medications, mouth breathing, or dehydration.
  • Strong foods such as garlic and onions.
  • Periodontal disease or poorly fitting dental work.
  • Tobacco use and certain systemic conditions like sinus infections or diabetes.

If odor persists after improving home care, schedule a visit so we can rule out dental concerns or coordinate with your physician.

Healthy gums are firm, pale pink, and do not bleed. Warning signs of gum disease include swollen or tender gums, bleeding when you brush or floss, persistent bad breath, receding gum tissue, or teeth that feel loose.

Risk factors include smoking, dry mouth, crowded teeth, chronic conditions such as diabetes, hormone changes, and a family history of periodontal disease. Regular cleanings and periodontal screenings help us detect problems early and tailor treatment before bone support is lost.

Your toothbrush simply cannot reach the tight spaces between teeth or just under the gumline. Daily flossing clears plaque and food debris from those areas, helping prevent cavities, gum disease, and the tartar that hardens when plaque is left behind.

Use about 12-16 inches of floss, guide it gently between the teeth, and curve it into a "C" against each surface. Consistency is the key to keeping tissues healthy and your breath fresher.

Services & Technology

We offer comprehensive cosmetic options including professional whitening, veneers, bonding, tooth-colored fillings, Invisalign treatment, and full smile makeovers. We'll recommend treatments that match your goals and budget.

Yes. Digital X-rays use up to 90% less radiation than traditional X-rays while delivering clearer, more detailed images for precise diagnoses.

We offer a variety of comfort and relaxation options to help anxious patients feel at ease. Let us know your concerns during consultation and we'll tailor an approach that works for you.

Amalgam fillings have been used safely for decades and are supported by major health organizations for their strength on back teeth. If you prefer a metal-free smile, we are happy to review tooth-colored composite or ceramic options that blend beautifully.

Cosmetic treatments can brighten discoloration, repair chips, close gaps, and balance the way your teeth fit together. We tailor plans that may include whitening, bonding, Invisalign®, veneers, or contouring so your smile looks natural and feels comfortable.

Veneers are thin, custom-crafted porcelain shells that bond to the front of your teeth. They reflect light like enamel and can conceal stains, chips, uneven spacing, or minor misalignment in just a few visits.

Professional whitening, stain-resistant bonding, veneers, and routine cleanings all help restore brightness. We will recommend the right option and share tips such as limiting dark beverages, using a straw, and brushing after meals to protect your results.

For Families

The American Dental Association recommends a child's first visit by their first birthday or when the first tooth erupts. Early visits help children build positive experiences with dental care.

Yes. We offer family block appointments so multiple family members can be seen during one visit. Mention this when scheduling so we can reserve enough time.

Yes. Preventive fluoride treatments and dental sealants help protect children's teeth from decay. We'll recommend the right options during your child's visit.

Absolutely. We care for patients of every age and tailor visits so kids feel comfortable, learn great habits, and have fun along the way.

Most children benefit from checkups every six months. We may suggest more frequent visits for children in orthodontic treatment or with a higher cavity risk.

Baby teeth help children chew, speak clearly, and hold space for the permanent teeth developing underneath. Keeping them healthy avoids pain, infection, and crowding issues later on.

Sucking is normal in infancy, but if the habit continues past age three or four it can shift tooth position and affect jaw growth. We offer gentle strategies to help your child stop before it impacts their bite.

Start with a smear of fluoride toothpaste as soon as the first tooth erupts. Around age three, increase to a pea-sized amount and supervise brushing so your child spits instead of swallowing.

Most children lose their first baby tooth around age six and continue through their early teens. Let us know if teeth fall out unusually early, late, or because of injury so we can monitor development.

Stay calm, handle the tooth by the crown, and gently rinse debris without scrubbing the root. Try to place it back in the socket or keep it in milk or a tooth preservation kit, then call us right away. Reimplanting within the first hour offers the best chance to save the tooth.

We accept cash, checks, most major credit cards, and offer convenient financing options through CareCredit.
